The Altnaharra Hotel has two self-catering cottages within the grounds available for rental. Our cottages are in the most beautiful location in the heart Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands. You won’t fail to be impressed with the breath-taking mountain views that surround the cottages and provide the perfect setting for your time away.
Converted from the original 19th Century hotel barns, these self-catering holiday cottages are of traditional appearance and are now fully equipped with all the modern comforts that you would expect from luxury self-catering accommodation.
Accommodation
Each cottage sleeps four people. One cottage has two twin bedrooms, the other cottage has one double and one twin room. However, the beds in one of the bedrooms of Mallart Cottage can be converted to a double, depending on your requirements. Just let us know your preference when booking.
All bed linen is provided along with towels. Both self-catering cottages have fitted kitchens which are equipped with all of your essentials such as a fridge, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, crockery, pots and pans, etc.
Guests who are staying here still have full use of the hotel’s facilities such as the bar, restaurant and games room. There is ample parking within the grounds of the hotel, and fishing activities can be organised by prior arrangement. For those wanting to visit sights in the northern and central Highlands it is a good idea to stay in Sutherland due to its location. Going self-catering allows you the freedom to explore at your own pace which makes it great for families or groups of friends.
